Storms never last when you’re near

I was very much looking forward to photographing this wonderful family again. It was blue skies, sunny and super hot all day long but the forecast was calling for a thunderstorm by early evening. We went ahead with the shoot even though the minute I arrived at Laurie and Jason’s house, dark clouds were starting to roll in. We decided to take our chances and I’m so glad we did – by the end of the shoot, we literally ran for the van as the winds had picked up and the skies were dark and gloomy. I made it home with minutes to spare before the lightning show and the rain began.

The family got a new puppy in the spring and brothers Aidan and Zach are totally smitten with Scout and they wanted to include him in the photos. Truthfully, Scout was very well behaved for such a young pup and he brought lots of smiles to the boys’ faces. I can’t get over the fact that Aidan is almost seven and Zach is four already. Thanks for a great evening and enjoy your photos!
