  • Hello!

I love photography and I am fortunate to be able to share my passion with you. I simply cannot imagine going through life without photographs - there are just so many reasons for taking photos. To remember, to relive, to share, to learn, to tell a story, to create, to feel... I could go on forever. The wonderful thing about photographs is that they are instantaneous. And as we change through life, so do the images we want to capture. I believe in capturing beautiful, modern images for modern families. I care very much about getting to know my clients and having fun during our sessions. This site features my most recent session along with some personal images peppered in. I am so thrilled to have met so many wonderful people and they have all inspired me in one way or another.

Please enjoy the photos on this site, leave comments (because I love getting them), check out my Facebook page and visit often. And by all means, please feel free to get in touch with me if you think my style matches yours.

You are the apple of my eye

I always look forward to my photo shoot with Sophie and her parents. Sophie is fun, sweet and sassy and now that she’s five, so many exciting things are happening in her life – like starting Kindergarten, making new friends and having a loose tooth. Always fashionable and looking cute, I have loved seeing Sophie…

Hold my hand and don’t let go

We capped off an amazing summer with a weekend in the beautiful Whiteshell, where I also got to shoot Mark and Kristy’s engagement session. It had been raining on and off all day long so I was not sure what was going to happen during our shoot, or if it would happen at all. We…

Oh May, the photos are amazing! I can hardly type through my tears. Every one I looked at was my favourite until I scrolled to the next one and it was my favourite. I think you really “got them” and their love shows. Thank you so much!

Absolutely beautiful photos, May. I can see why Lesley would be so happy! The Whiteshell backdrop was a wonderful place to capture this couple. They do look so very much in love. Have fun picking one or two, Lesley!!!!!

I’m gonna be with you, always

The summer is just not complete without a visit with these two cuties – they’ve grown a lot since our session last year and they are running around and talking like it’s nobody’s business. I met Abby, Elly and their gorgeous mom Cindy at their Grandma’s farm where there is no shortage of space to…

Safe in your arms is where I’ll be

I can hardly contain my excitement about this post. It has been a year since I first met this lovely family. Sarah had contacted me last year to take their family’s photos and to also capture a moment in time where they would be embarking on a new journey. Sarah was going back to school…

Absolutely beautiful photos of a beautiful family. I love them too xoxo

Sarah Lesperance - August 27, 2012 - 9:22 pm

Wow, May, thank-you. I started my second year of medicine this morning, and was still reeling a bit from the tears Mary and I shared last night, knowing that we would no longer be together each day. And then, what did I find in my inbox, but your note that these pictures were ready! What perfect timing! And what a gift. Thank-you. Although my family is not complete without my darling husband, I am glad that he was able to enjoy a baseball road-trip with his twin brother, and grateful for the rare chance to have a set of photos of myself with my children. I will especially cherish these in the weeks/months ahead, when I am missing my Mary and Riel. Duane and I both thank-you for these photos, and remain in awe of your photographic talent!
Hugs, Sarah

Storms never last when you’re near

I was very much looking forward to photographing this wonderful family again. It was blue skies, sunny and super hot all day long but the forecast was calling for a thunderstorm by early evening. We went ahead with the shoot even though the minute I arrived at Laurie and Jason’s house, dark clouds were starting…
