Look at the stars, look how they shine for you

When Jody and I started talking about her upcoming shoot, I joked about a school bus in the background. I’m not sure why I thought of it as we’ve done a “back to school” type shoot with Brooklyn (Miss B) in the past. Anyways, it turns out I had planted the seed and the idea just continued to grow because Jody then went and found us a bus out in the country, from an awesome family (that she knows) who generously allowed us to stay and shoot on their property. And they even moved the bus into position for me during the shoot – which is good as I don’t know how to drive a bus. I’m extremely lucky to have such wonderful clients whom I can also call friends – and who also appreciate my work and from time to time, will go looking for school buses because I suggested it. Back to Miss B… looking at these photos, it boggles my mind how Miss B has grown over the years that I’ve known her. Her blonde curls are so long now and when I first met her, she had just a few wisps. Yet, those angelic blue eyes and dreamy long lashes haven’t changed a bit. More importantly, I love her big personality and always look forward to a shoot with her. Happy back to school, B – you’re going to go places!

These pics just blow me away!! I stress every year about these photos (mostly because I don’t know how to coordinate outfits) and then you talk me off the ledge, become my temporary personal stylist and we pull off a great shoot:) Every time I see the pics I am just amazed and I wonder why I stress about it–you work magic with that camera and the photos would probably still be brilliant even if we were wearing garbage bags;)
